The Round-Up (#1)
AISEO, Nietzsche, and the changing face of travel
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the Round-Up, a new fortnightly post where I’ll send you the best of what I’ve been reading and hopefully save you a bunch of time in the process.
Major thought for the week: One of the greatest privileges I enjoy is sharing God’s Word with my church family on a Sunday. Last week we explored John 14:1-7 and saw the wonderful comfort in knowing that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. We might well formulate this reality in the following way:
Trust in Christ = Peace in life.
Here’s why that matters: there is undoubtedly a bout of turbulence headed toward the church as the growing spectre of AI looms large. We don’t know when, and we don’t know how it will look. But we do know a peace that comes in knowing that whatever happens, we have this everlasting, unshakeable hope and trust in Jesus - that he died and rose again for us, and as he tells us in this passage in John, he’s coming back! Praise God!
The AI Article of the Week:
“Forget SEO: Why AI Engine Optimization May be the Future”
The title is pretty straightforward, but the content is great food for thought for those in any form of outreach ministry. You might not have heard of SEO (search engine optimization), but it has been an extremely helpful tool for many churches in the last decade. However, it will likely be on the way out in the near future, and this is a bigger deal than many might perhaps realize at first. Is its successor AISEO? This is a thought-provoking article that should cause churches to ask, “How can we harness the next stage of digital marketing to reach people for the Gospel?”
Honorable mention: A.I., a new ‘superhuman’ and the Fourth Industrial Revolution is just the latest revival of Friedrich Nietzsche’s ‘Superman’ concept.
This article should be a ‘must-read,’ and most likely should be at the top of today’s pile. Fascinating.
